This Privacy Policy explains how VouchPic collects, uses, stores, and deletes information when people use the VouchPic mobile app and its public website.

What VouchPic Does
VouchPic lets people upload photos and receive private feedback from other VouchPic users. Users can also give feedback on other users' photos, report content, block users, and delete their account.
Information We Collect
We collect the information needed to run the app:
- Account information, such as email address and authentication identifiers.
- Sign-in information from email/password login, Google sign-in, or Sign in with Apple, depending on the method you use.
- Uploaded photos and related metadata, such as upload time, owner account, and moderation status.
- Feedback activity, including photo-set votes, vouches, feedback tags, and aggregate feedback shown to photo owners.
- Reports and moderation signals, including reported photo IDs, reporter IDs, report reasons, timestamps, and review actions.
- Blocking information, such as which users you choose to block or hide.
- Basic technical information needed to provide the service, maintain security, debug problems, and prevent abuse.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Create and manage user accounts.
- Sign users in securely.
- Let users upload photos and receive feedback.
- Show users photos they are eligible to review.
- Prevent users from voting on their own photo set or voting on the same photo set more than once.
- Hide content that a user has reported or from users they have blocked.
- Review reports, enforce community rules, and protect users from abuse.
- Delete accounts and associated data when requested.
- Maintain app security, investigate misuse, and troubleshoot the service.
Photos And User Content
Photos uploaded to VouchPic are user-generated content. Other signed-in users may see a photo for the purpose of giving feedback unless the photo is deleted, rejected, hidden, or otherwise restricted.
Do not upload photos that you do not have the right to use. Do not upload private, sensitive, illegal, harassing, explicit, or non-consensual content.
Authentication Providers
VouchPic may support email/password login, Google sign-in, and Sign in with Apple.
If you use Google sign-in or Sign in with Apple, those providers may process your authentication information according to their own privacy policies. VouchPic receives the information needed to authenticate your account, such as an account identifier and, when provided, your email address.
Service Providers
VouchPic uses Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and backend infrastructure. Supabase processes information on VouchPic's behalf so the app can operate.
Resend delivers verification and password-reset emails, processing recipient addresses, email content, and delivery information. GitHub Pages hosts the public website and receives ordinary website requests and associated technical information.
The email verification and password-change pages send single-use email tokens directly to Supabase. Tokens are carried in URL fragments, which are not included in requests to the website host, and the pages remove them from the address bar. After validating a password-change link, the password form sends your new password directly to Supabase. Passwords and recovery credentials are kept only in page memory while completing the change and are cleared when leaving the page. These pages do not save an account session in browser storage, send a session to the app, or use analytics or advertising trackers.
VouchPic does not sell personal information.
Sharing Information
We may share information only when needed to:
- Operate the app through service providers.
- Comply with legal obligations.
- Enforce our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
- Investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or harmful behavior.
- Protect the rights, safety, and security of users, VouchPic, or others.
Data Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce rules, and comply with legal obligations.
When a user deletes their account, VouchPic is designed to delete or anonymize the user's profile, uploads, vouches, reports, and sign-in access, unless certain information must be retained for legal, security, abuse-prevention, or dispute-resolution reasons.
Account Deletion
Users can initiate account deletion inside the app from Profile > Account > Delete account.
Account deletion is intended to remove the user's account, uploaded photos, vouches, reports, and sign-in access from VouchPic systems. Some limited records may be retained if required for safety, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or abuse investigations.
User Choices
Users can:
- Delete uploaded photos from their profile.
- Report photos that appear to break the rules.
- Block or hide content from a user.
- Delete their VouchPic account inside the app.
- Contact VouchPic for privacy or support questions.
Children's Privacy
VouchPic is not intended for children under the minimum age required by applicable law or App Store age-rating rules. Users must not submit content involving minors unless they have all rights and permissions needed and the content is appropriate under the Community Guidelines.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, and users should avoid uploading content they would not want reviewed by other signed-in users.
International Users
VouchPic and its service providers may process information in countries other than where the user lives. By using VouchPic, users understand that information may be processed where VouchPic or its providers operate.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes. The updated policy will show a new "Last updated" date.
